The rubber Door Edge Guards (they make OEM metal ones for ~$20, colormatched) are glued in... Before you start, it might help to wipe the Rubber Guard with a damp cloth if it's old, to help prevent cracking/breaking.
Carefully peel away the rubber guard from the door edge. If the glue is too sticky, you might use a heat gun (blowdryer) on a low setting to help.
After doing so, you should clean the edges from the old adhesive using an automotive grime/tar/bug remover. Using alcohol or lighter fluid might damage your paint.
I'd reccommend rubber cement to re-apply your door edge. Remember to lace both sides of the contact surface, allowing it to dry slightly. The excess is easily rubbed away.
Hope it helps!

If you're talking about the Side Protectors (aka "Molding"), then you should look for a rounded-top hex nut near the door's rear edge (at least, this is the way it is on 96-00 Civics). After removing it, remove your interior door panel and pop out the clips from inside the door. You risk damaging the clips/molding/door skin if you don't...
Hope this helps,
