How do you clean up a SS header???
Hey guys I retardedly forgot to wipe down my header before I fired the car up... it's a brushed SS Tri-y big tube header... and everywhere my hands were it burnt the oil/greese into it... rest of it is beautifully golden... Is there a Way to get it cleaned or is it burnt in now???

nothing... I'm afriad I'll mess it up or stain it even worse... I was thinking about taking like 1000 grit to it but I just dont know... any other suggestions????
I remember a buddy that had this black can that had "cotton ball" like things in it that he bought at wal-mart... would clean any metal... Can't find it anymore and he's dead... anyone know what it would have been... smelt like turpentine sorta...

yeah, it's a type of SS polish. just go to walmart, or napa, or autozone or anything. or even online and buy a stainless steal washer

Never-dull most likely. It's got some kind of an oil in it though, I suspect it might make it worse. I think once you get the fingerprints burned on there that's it.
