how do you check rad. fan relay?
hey need help on how to check if the relay is still good on my 98 ek hatch. after my b20 swap i never heard the fan kick on so i connected it straight to the battery and the fan is still good just now trying to think of other things it could be.

The problem is typically the fan switch located on the thermostat housing. Uncouple the 2P connector for the switch and install a jumper wire across the two terminals. If the fan runs when you turn the key to ON(II), then the switch is bad.

ok so i put on my condenser fan back on the car and plugged it in to see if be turning the ac on both fans should kick on, only the condenser fan turned on and the rad. fan didnt move at all. i will look into checking the fan switch.
ould the fan only kick on if the car reaches a certain temp like above normal? or should it be on at like idle at normail temp?

The radiator fan should not run continuously, unless you jump the switch connector as I mentioned above. The fan only turns on when the engine temperature reaches a predefined limit, I think somewhere above 200F.
