The distributor is making a lot of noise on my 93 del sol. Im going to replace it but i have never replaced one before.. Are there any online directions to do so? Are they easy to replace? What kind of tools are needed? Do the gears need to be aligned a certain way?

I changed mine this weekend. 3 bolts and 2 plugs and it comes right out. Have a rag ready to stop oil from coming out of the hole. Make sure you note the location of the rotor button so you can adjust the new distributor to match the slot on the end of the cam.

I picked up a remanufactured distributor from Napa for $194. Good luck!

it should only go on one way though.

Get a timing light to get your ignition set back to stock once your're done though.

so the distributor will only go in one way then i need to ajust ignition timing when im done?
