Hi i live in cali and want to know what should i do to car and engine to pass state reff?

hahaaha thats a hard one to do. change everything over to obd1 and knock out the vin plates on the tranny and motor and tell the referee its a 95 gsr motor or convert your harness to OBD2 with i doubt you would do unless you have hella free time on your hands. but if you live in fresno then good luck cause that **** will not fly with the referee in fresno.

if you tell the referee its a 98 gsr motor he will be expecting you to run the 98 gsr ecu which your car is a OBD1 and the ecu is OBD2 and no piggy harness will not pass visual with the state referee so don't even waste money buying a OBD1 to OBD2A piggy back harness.

Don't they have a way to check the year of the motor by the head? i remember something about a serial number, but i could be wrong. Just something i heard.

i would just change over everything,you dont have to take off the vin for the tranny or block,as long as the motor is stock and if you use the jumber hide the harrass good,they dont care,they ref over here in bakersfield
