how do u remove bondo???

Default how do u remove bondo???

i have a friend that has shaved moldings on his civic and he wants to remove the bondo to put the moldings back in. anyone know wut to do?? TIA

cars up for sale, and everyone knows civics look better with moldings. IMO

If they filled it instead of welding then just have him drive down the road a few miles. The bondo should pop right out

Seriously, you may have to grind it away or maybe even sand it. Depends on how they did it.

my friend installed fender flares on his hb and damn near bondo'd the whole car... he just used a grinder to get the flares off, then sanded the bondo down...then he got a paint job...looked soo clean after he did it...

if you getting the car repainted, than just go get some aircraft paint remover, that stuff eats everything, clear coat, paint, bondo, everything except for the metal. just spray it on and it will bubble up, wait a few minutes and just wash it all off. probly would be a long and tedius process....

buy a sander. Draw your line out where it is, take your time, grind it down. Dont punch it off. Dont chip at it. That could fack up your body line. Just lighty grind at it.
