i am needing to tap into my sisters new car. I am going to throw in a small system for her. How do you take the stock head unit out so i could tap into some of the wires so i can run the system (remote wire and amp wires) let me know ..btw i already have all the wires ready and everything just need to take the deck off. Im sure i could take it off but maybe it will be easier to ask you guys first. its my day off so im going to wait about 8 hours to install because i got other stuff to do and it is hella hott.

Re: (eg64u)
if it is manuel with the gearstick in the center console you will need to is pull the gear **** off and pull of the gearstick surround(be carfull as you can easaly break the surround trying to pull it off)
next if the heater controls are above the gear stick you should see 4 screws holding the heater controls on, remove this and unplug it.
if i rember rightly you should now be able to see the underside of the stereo. if you look down the sides of the stereo you will see 2 bolts which are holding the stereo in place, undo these bolts and you should be able to remove the stereo.
hope this helps and let me know how you get on
