Too be safe just disconnect both sides of your batt and short them together for a few seconds. Then just disconnect the yellow clip and pull her out. You should just be able to unhook the clip and go but I like to be on the safe side

Oh just as a sidenote, airbags hurt. My friend decided to hit a ditch headon and slam into a pole at 65mph with me in it. I remember saying OH **** then I remember feeling a liquid draining outta my face. Needless to say almost my entire face was smushed, numb, skinned, and bleeding. Thanks airbag!

You mean it was cool at one point?
Also to the orignal poster. do you really think it is a good idea to take a safety device OUT of your car? but if your going to do it White Smoke is right thats how my buddy did it on his hatch.

disconect battery and disconect the airbag yellow plugs. thats all you have to do.
PS: i strongly sugest that if you remove the pass. airbag, then you should remove the drivers aribag as well.

Were you wearing a seatbelt? Cause if you weren't your injured face would probably instead be your *** around that pole, or 100 yards up laying in the grass. I used to hate airbags, until one saved my ***. I will never remove mine. Rather than be mad at the airbag, you might wanna talk to your boy about driving into poles doing 65mph.
FYI if you want to remove the passenger airbag, it is illegal obviously, but it is held in by bolts under the dash. Remove the glovebox, and you can see what im talking about. DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY before you touch ANY yellow wires.

Re: (JDM_Ej)
Let the car sit for a few minutes w/ the battery disconnected. The SRS system has its own power backup to make sure it goes off during a wreck. Remove your glove box and the black plastic shield above it. Then get creative with your wrenches and remove the four bolts holding it in. Once you turn the car back on you will have to reset the airbag system for not having that airbag. Hope this helps.

Isn't it the passenger side that your taking out? How is that gonna blow up in YOUR face? If my friend had an airbag and he took it out I would never ride in his car.
