How do I retrofit a stock 99 Civic CX with A/C ( I searched)?
I just picked up a 99 Civic CX from Chicago, it is bone stock and does not have A/C as a factory option. I am wondering if anyone on here has ever retrofit a stock car with A/C that originally did not come with it from the factory. If so what all parts do I need and what can I estimate the cost being?
Thanks!
Thanks!

people are trying to get rid of their ac systems everyday on the market, make a WTB thread there and you'll get help in no time,
with that being said there isn't a definite price your gonna be paying for parts or the refrigerant charge

I just did this on my DX.
You will need the ac compressor, condenser, fan, hard lines, dryer, ac wiring harness(Plug was already on stock harness for it) My lower bracket on my engine that has the tq mount wasn't made for AC, so I'd assume yours is the same, so I had to swap that for one made for AC.
You will need the 2 Relays for under the dash. I got lucky and pulled them out of my other car, because I was told they were like $40 each from the auto parts store.
You will obviously need a belt.(Make sure you put the belt on before the lower bracket)
You will need to remove the glove box and then remove the straight through air box under the dash on the passenger side for an ac evaporator with box. (Plug was already there for this too) Be careful here, because you probably won't notice all the bolts that go to this either at first, because I know I forgot one and almost broke it lol
I filled mine myself, but you should have someone else do it with the proper ****.

Also, flush the lines before installing. And, consider adding a cabin filter to the evap box when you install... if you remove the A/C parts from a 98-00 it will have this opening already for the filter. (Check my DIYs)
