Default How do i replace a broken wheel stud???

how do i replace a broken wheel stud..i have searched but only the 88-91 civic post came up....i have a 92 hb dx...ad yes for the smart ***'z its 4 lug..lol..naw..i just need to know how to replace them..peace

what i did was take it to the shop and had them press out the broken one and pressed on the new one. hth. im sure there is a diy'er, hopefully someone knows how.

try using the RIGHT words next time and don't pick a forum. just skip that, it will search all forums automatically. Good luck, my sister has a broken wheel stud too, so I might change her's out pretty soon too.

ok i did that and have a 92 hb thats what i siad up top....and that is for a 88-91 civics...i need info on a 92 civic front wheel studd

I did it myself but it took a hell of a long time. I should have just taken it to a shop and have them press it out. Trust me, if you are planning on DIY you need something to press the bearing our you will have to grind the hub. The stud will not move out of the back because it hits the hub. That's why ppl take them to the shop.

that's why you cut the old one out and notch the head of the new one. goes right in, works for 5th gens too
