How do I remove the internal coil from 95 civic?
I was wondering how you remove the internal coil so I could use an external coil? Thanks for helping!!!

Pop off the dizzy cap, unscrew the rotor and remove the cover and you have exposed the coil and ignitor. Should be 2 more screws that hold it in the dizzy and one or 2 more that connect it to the wires and you can remove it.

You need to remove the distributor cap and you'll see the coil sitting there. Unplug the two wires that go to the coil and then unscrew the two screws that hold the distributor in. You may need to remove your distributor rotor to pull the coil out, I'm not sure. Then you need to extend the wires that plugged into the original coil to the location of the external coil. Put an external coil distributor cap on and plug in the external coil to the wires and to the cap.
