how do i make a battery cutoff?
just found a switch laying around and a friend told me to make it into a battery cutoff, so would like to know how i do this ive seen them before and want to nkw how to do this thanks mike

for the car or the fuel pump anything to kill the car completely. is it easy to do and cheap would like to read a how 2 if possible thanks alot mike

Well, the whole car would require a big *** relay to be had for a considerable amount since I am sure the switch is a small one. However, the fuel cut off would be relatively easy. If it is illuminated, then it will will have three prongs/leads. Two 12V and one ground. If it is not illuminated, then it will have two. Install is relatively easy... find your 12V wire that supplies power to your fuel pump, cut it and wire one side to each of the 12V leads. Then hide the switch. You're done. No fuel, no go. Just remember to hide it well and to switch it on before you drive.

what color will the power wire be how ill i know if i have found the power for the pump i got 2 wires so i just put the wire into the power wire like a extension or something? need to know what the power is thanks mike

ok got it installed, power to the pump for the 95 hatch is the yellow/green wire place the wire on each of the 2 peices of wire and yor ready to go you have a $2 fuel cutoff switch now with is always safe and also is a security measure thnaks for all the help mike
