Default How do I know if Vtec is working or not?
I Just bought an 98 Honda civic ex, H engine, how do you know if vtech works or not?

H engine as in H22? Btw it's vtec, not vtech.

vtech makes phones.

probably an H22, pop the hood and see if the valve cover says VTEC

at about 5500 rpms you should here it get louder and a little faster

I don't know, it says H but the cover's just regular. I found out it's not vtec. =| sorry guys but thanks for the knowledge!

If it's an H23 it does not have VTEC.

I used to own a Honda prelude, b20a5 and since i own a Honda civic, I looked at the same area where I saw the b20a5 on my lude and it said HA on my civic. I'll take some pics when I get home.
