how do i know if im running to lean or rich
finished my building a poormans type r w. cams, pistons, new rings polished head, magnifold, header , ect... list is too long but anyways when i turn on the motor for the first time how do i know that im not running to lean or rich...i need to break it in b4 i take it to get tuned just a lil bit and im gonna have to drive it on the highway for at least 120 miles or less not sure but i gotta get on the higway...

my freind boosted a car and before it was tuned it smelled like gas like a **** and that was rich. rich in gas. if it was lean it would probably seem like it was about to die because basically ur starving the engine of gas.

i spoke to my engine builder and he told me he will go to my house when i turn on the car to see if its running lean or rich..sooo im all set

pull the plugs out. if white, you're lean. if black (not from oil), you're running rich.
