How do I install a C-Pillar Bar in my EG hatch?
Hey this might sound stupid and all but I am serious about this. I looked but can't really come up with this answer. I want to get a C-Pillar Bar for my EG HatchBack. Well after looking at it, the seatbelt retracts back into the paneling of the car. Now, would I have to remove that panel permantly to make it work, or is there someway around. I really rather not cut anything because the interior is nice and I am not ruining it. Heres a picture to show you what I am talking about. I know about 75% of you guys probably have one, and I want to know If I can run a C-pillar bar with the paneling still there. And if so, how would I go about that. Thanks for the help guys!
Do I need to remove that whole panel for good?
Um Yea? Im lost haha

You could drill a hole in it with like a doorknob hole drill bit. It is slightly different on an EK so I didnt run into this problem. Not really sure what people normally do.

Yea you do NEED to cut to fit...its just a lil bit and can still look very clean also you just have to cut in the right spot and also the seat belt can still be used...just install the bar right along with the seat belt...
I found the install to e pretty easy using a dremel with a cutting wheel attachment...
Good Luck

ok Cool. Thanks alot guys, I appreciate it.
Also, are any of you guys able to take a picture of where you drilled your hole, so I can have a good spot to guesstimate? Thanks

Re: (EGbubble)
I'm not, was just reading about them 2 days ago, and said, hm would be nice to have one of them, not expensive and all. Just trying to see if there was a easy way to get it on, incase I would get one in the future.

i also used a lil door **** bit to do mine in my ej, but i think the panel is a lil different in the eg. plus i didnt use the seatbelts after either. i didnt notice a big difference till i put the gsr sway bar in the back too; just looked tight...

Re: C-Pillar Bar.
A c pillar bar is NOT WORTH IT... To ruin your interior panels. It's not going to yield you anything except for money out of your pocket and additional weight in your car.
Unless you want to use it as a coat hanger.
