how do i get that annoying ding to stop when keys are in the ignition?
I have a 95 eg and i hate the ******* dinging that it makes when the keys are in the ignition. Anyway to disable it but not using the pin on the door that controls both the dome light and dinging?????????
thanks Spencer

LMAO... funny reply...
or you can try taking out the plastic panel from the back, and under near the door, is a plug for the button on the door... disconnect that... See what happen and tell me if it worked, Im guessing here....
Why would you want to stop the noise though it reminds you to take ur keys b4 you leave....

If you just need to disable it temporarily pull out the dome light fuse, its a 7.5 amp i think. I always do that when im workin on the car and im gonna have the door open and the stereo on.
Take it one step further and wire a toggle switch in line with the fuse, if you want to disable it often enough and dont want to always pull the fuse.

It's kinda handy sinceit reminds you that your lights are on too.
Best suggestion listed was to actually remove the 7.5 fuse for the domelight, of course you have no domelight, but it will eliminate your problem. I used to remove this as well when I could not close the door completely while working on the car.
