Does the hook **** do anything other then "improved" ventalation? Does it really work?
Who thinks the higher angle makes the car look more agressive?
I like it but i cant seem rock that kinda of a set up with out a need for it. Im more of a Function over Form kinda guy...

it probably gives you a tiny bit more downforce on the front tires at high speeds. Oh yeah, and it's called "JDM hood tilt", so it adds power just because it's JDM. PRobly expect like 50% more hp and tq

its pretty much just a trend for those who think it looks better...it has been debated numerous times on if it actually helps with cooling or not..just search for the threads, read into it, and decide for yourself

Re: How do I **** my hood up (sauceja)
sorry to get off topic here, but here is a serious answer:
in order to prop the hood up, you'll need a longer bolt and washers. does it look good? in my opinion no, i think it looks terrible. Does it work? yes. it does lower engine bay temperatures.
with that out of the way, you guys can go back to talking about ***** now.

Dont talk shiit when you dont know ****, i done this to my car and let me tell you, a turbo engine will get REALLY hot in there. After a drive, you can go put your hand there and you will feel the heat.

well its the truth most of it is for fashion or thats why most people do it .. maybe while your sitting still at a redlight, it vents.. but while driving it probably does nothing .. and ill stand by that until some real facts are presented to me

Start over...lol... raised hood.
Yea...you see alot of cars with the hood paint cooked from under-bonnet heat.
It has to have function. Doesn't look too bad imo.
Goddamn, I can't believed you walked right in here and said cocked.

There are seals around the back of the hood, and fresh air is forced into the compartment from the front. It will escape from the gap=cooler compartment.

Re: How do I **** my hood up (B and B)
i think it looks pretty mean and it pulls fresh air in the engine bay wic will help if you have a short ram and help cool the motor as for how to do it washers and a longer bolt but that makes the hood a lil u sterdy when it is popped

Re: How do I **** my hood up (b16a2coupe)
so you want to erect the hood by giving it a small ****?
i just used a long 10mm bolt for the erection and a few washers to make it have a larger ****.
