If they are ticking at all, they most likely need a rebuild. And if the boots are cracked or in bad I would have them inspected.

there the part on your axle on the wheel side of it. It has a ruber boot covering it. Usually when the boot falls apart the cv joing goes bad.

So just check if anything is leaking or broken ...RIGHT?
if they are ripped or in shitty condition have 'em replaced.

don't have it replaced by anyone, do it yourself. if the boot is penetrated, you can get a new boot for a few bucks. but most likely you'll want to replace the whole halfshaft. 22mm lug i believe to get the hub off, and go to town
