Just pull them up. new ones are cheap from Honda.
I replaced them 6 years ago.
I think there like $50.00 made a big difference in the look of the car.

Re: (zackdrtrack)
Stupid me was trying to push start my car one time since I had killed the battery. Wouldn't start on the first push, so my girlfriend and I started pushing the car backwards towards my house again. I had my door open and forgot that my mailbox was there. All I could think in my mind is "[freak], MY door is history!" since I had NO time to jump in and hit the brake. Well, instead of my ripping off my door, the mailbox ripped off instead (So [freak]ing lucky I was) and no damage was done to my door. The only thing that half came off was that strip thing you're trying to take off. I was able to just clip it back into place with no prob. So yes, there are just clips holding it.
My girlfriend's step brother did the same as I did, except his mailbox was made of concrete, so the door wasn't so lucky and bent completely backwards. He put the car in reverse and sped up and didn't see the mailbox. I'm so GLAD my mailbox and mailbox post are made of very thin hollow aluminum!!!!!

this is easy. push it forward (towards the front of the car) about 1.5". it will go into the outside rear view mirror. then lift up the back end (end facing the rear of the car) gently until it "un-clips" then pull it out towards the back end, easy!
just un-clip it from that 1 clip in the back. don't try to un-clip the whole thing, slide it out the rest of the way
oh and you don't need to take off your mirror (at least i didn't)
