How to Disconnect Drum Parking Brakes?
Im going to have to take my trailing arm off of my car to put some new bushings on it and I see that I need to take the drum brake cable off first. I haven't looked at the car yet but before I do, can anyone tell me how to disconnect the parking brake cable?
I see people say disconnect it from the parking brake lever but im not sure if that is on the outside or inside.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Re: How to Disconnect Drum Parking Brakes?
Well you could just remove the cable from the drum brake instead of going through the whole process of removing the cables than reinstalling them, they're held on with star-screws I believe T40's if I'm not mistaken.. But if you still wanna remove the cables than inside the car, remove the plastic case around the e-brake handle (2 phillips screws under that rectangular plastic cover) and slide it up and over the e-brake... Than there's a bracket with 2 12mm screws, remove that as well... Next on the end of the e-brake is a swivel with a 12mm nut on it that creates or relieves tension on the cables, loosen it about 8-10 turns and than just pop the cables out one at a time... There similar to throttle cables in how they connect into that lil metal piece... But after you've done that on the inside, than next is get under the car and remove the 3 brackets for each cable that are about 1' apart and run parallel with the exhaust almost, and you're set..
