How difficult is replacing LMAs lost motion assemblies in a D16Y8?
I am pretty sure I am having one of my LMAs sticking in my Civic and I am willing to do the Job.
Been on the web for hours investigating but I cannot find any How to for this.
Thanks

I had several sticking parts on one.
I pulled the assembly on my fleet D16y8 and it is a bit tricky to put back together. You need to sort everything and tie it together in a way it can be soaked and reassembled in the same order. I went so far as to put each spring back in the same direction and location. You might want some copper wire to tie items together in pairs. I'm talking about pulling each individual piece off the assembly.
I think I washed with SuperClean, then soaked in WD-40 overnight. They came out very clean. During reassembly, I used Lucas assembly lube, white lithium assembly grease, and motor oil on every contact surface imaginable.
When placing the assembly back on the head, you have to keep the ends pushed together. Then make sure all the pistons line up. Finally, the rockers must be in the correct positions when they sit on the cam or else you have to take it all apart again. It will get messy and I highly suggest you clean and soak and re-lube everything before attempting this task. It is not worth it unless it is all 100%.
