Default How come i cant slam my Hatchback?

Im lowered on KYBS and the run of the mill GC coilovers. It is only tucked in the front but the back is the lowest it could go and still has a finger gap.

did you install the front sleeves in the rear? the shorter sleeves should be up front. (I think)

i believe there is a cup on the rear shocks. im not sure on the agx's but on my tokico's, theres a cup in which prevents you from lowering the rear all the way, the way around it is to cut the cup w/ a reciprocating saw which i did

yea the kyb's have a cup on the shock tower, you cant slam the back because the sleeve's on the persh will hit the cup-slot part. I'm getting JIC coilovers or Apex N1 dampers so I can slam mine.

Maybe the shocks bottomed out. Did you look to see if you even have anymore shock travel?

Ahh...one of the many reasons to NOT slam a car. What a waste of money.

NOT. if you get the right shocks, you can slam a car.

but in this case, you did waste money because agx's aren't suppose to be dropped more than 1.5"

good reason to spend $1500 on suspension. You should just cut your springs.

My thoughts exactly.

I mean it's not my money, but wasting over $1,500.00 on really bad-*** suspension components just to slam the car is worthless IMO. Might as well just hack off the rear lower strut cups and keep riding on soon to be blown KYBs.

Riding that low really reduces the sus travel - it could actually make the car handle worse and will certainly make it ride like **** too.

Oh well. A few sets of blown struts later maybe you guys will learn...

So just cause the perches are high means that they arent meant to go that low? Nuts. Looks like im gonna have to cut the back springs haha. Is anyone interested in buying Some GC's with Brand New AGXs For a good price? PM me an offer.

i don't know why you would want to go so low unless it was a show car, not practical otherwise.

if your car is a daily driver like mine, and you dont drive that much or put more than 2 other passengers in your car like me, and if the roads are in good condition like where i live, i think its okay to have a slammed car . if you slam your car and you live in a area with fucked up roads, its just pointless imo.
