How to check Racing Harts for Authenticity
Just wondering how, besides weighing these wheels, I can know if they are real Racing Harts.
I'm pretty sure they're not Rotas since Rotas have oval circles. Does any other company make replicas of CP035s?
Here are the Rotas:

Re: How to check Racing Harts for Authenticity (NA_EKstasy)
they should be stamped on the back with some proof... like the REAL SPOON's, and REGAMASTERs say DESMOND or some **** on the back... knock offs would say **** brand or whatever.. you get the picture.
my SSR Type X's, say Speed Star on the sticker, and are stamped with SSR right next to the valve stem. Rota's "Auto X" coudn't pull that off.

well "VIA" is stamped on the back, next to some symbol and the wheel measurements and offset. There's also this:

lol, when i ment VIA... i ment as in.. "john contacted me today VIA phone.." lol, just a way of words...
anyhow... they're should be a phisical stamp on the wheel.. usually inside, on the back of one of the spokes, or near the center hub of the wheel.

Damn, the only thing stamped on the inside of the spoke is "A565K45".
I'm searching but I can't find any other company that makes replicas of these wheels.

Re: How to check Racing Harts for Authenticity (careawholelot)
Oh hey, I saw you post in a couple of threads with these wheels, including these exact ones.
I convinced myself that they're not rotas because of the holes. But it's stamped "690kg"...
Edit: I'm also supsicious because I know how easy it is to put real Racing Hart stickers on these.

690kg = 1518lbs, the capacity of the wheel. rota wasn't the only manufacturer to make knockoffs. your best bet is weighing the wheel in question (on a real scale, not a bathroom one) and finding out the weight of a real cp-035. i had the cp-35 cast version made by "racing hart evolution" and it looked identical to the cp-035.

Re: How to check Racing Harts for Authenticity (dantastic)
so that's not the weight of the wheel, it's the capacity...well, I guess my best bet then is to weigh it. Thanks guys, now the thread may die.

make sure the weight you found is for the size rim you have. sounds like you have 16's by your weight.

Re: How to check Racing Harts for Authenticity (NA_EKstasy)
My bet is that if the valvestem hole is too small for the conventional rubber "pull through" then they're real.
My Spoon wheels won't accept the rubber valvestems like Rotas do - they take the much smaller diameter metal valvestems like the ones you have on your wheels.
Try taking one of the valvestems off and see how big the hole on the wheel is for them.
EDIT:
Have you tried stepping on a scale by yourself, then standing with a wheel in your hand to try and determine the weight of them?

No, that's the problem, I don't have access to a scale.

lol, I'm mexican...and from California.
Anywho, I took off the valvestem but I don't know how small is too small. So, here's the hole.
