how to check my codes (97dx)
i know how to check my codes o my eg hatch, but i have no clue how to check em ona obd2 car... do i have to buy a obd2 CEL scanner??

Bah, I used to have it book marked. I think you can just jump the spare ECU plug right? Get a piece of wire, connect both slots..Etc. Could be wrong.

OMFG, did you read any threads on how to check your CEL?
You cant see the green plug because its in a grey rubber boot. Pull your kick panel off, look above and to the the left of the ECU and you'll see a grey/black rubber boot with a couple wires running into it, thats the plug, pull it out of the rubber boot.
Whichever shop you went to.........never go there again.

Logic just wasn't something you were blessed with apparently.
Look bro - grab a Helms. When you do that, you'll realize that the connector you're looking for actually has one of its wires connected to the ECU - the other wire goes to a ground.
When you know which pin that is - follow the damn wire to where it ends. If there is no wire at the ECU connector - well then you've found a problem. If the wire is there and you follow it but the 2-pin connector has been ripped off - you've found the problem. And finally, if you follow the wire to the 2-pin connector and its actually there - don't tell us and just jump the thing and get your code.

How about this - Can you unbolt the ECU and take a look at the connectors to see if there is a wire in C7 (for a 96-98 Civic)? There should be and it should be brown.
Now, if there is a wire there, can you undo some of the harness to find out where it might end - or is this too much for you?

he is really that helpless. he probably went and cut them off while trying to wire something. you should have seen his old wiring job in his eg, wow.
