If they are both stock, DX has the D15B7 engine and the EX has the D16Z6. Some EX's (ABS versions?) Have rear disc brakes from the factory.

the Ex's have sunroof, power windows, mirrors and door locks, and the mirrors, door handles and trunk plate are the same color as the car

the DX's dont have sunroofs, manual windows, mirrors, and door locks. and the mirrors, trunk plate and door handles are black

My EX has power sunroof and mirrors, but not windows and doorlocks, its also a canadian model... thats enough of an explanation to me.

easiest way due to a likelyhood parts may have been swapped is by the VIN, if you take your vin and got to carfax.com and enter your vin, it will tell you what year make model and trim the vehicle is, all without paying. it just tells you if there are records, but doesn't show what the records are.

you dont even have to do carfax... you can enter it in at the kelley blue book website and it will give you year make and model.
