What!??
I hope you don't mean how do you engage Vtec at 0 rpms?
**edit: Sorry I didn't know my post would open you up to what follows.**

how can i start vtec from zero?
told us he had done the same thing on a new swap with open header just to F#$K with the V8 guys in the shop next door. He said it sounded like a V8 in the lower RPM range. He also said do not do it all the time.
He gave me a quick over veiw.
Mount a switch inside the car and run one wire to a + power source and hook the other up to the VETC solenoid.
Unlike every one above I think it mite be fun to try?

Isnt there a certain amount of oil pressure you need in order to activate it anyway?? So how could you idle from 0??

Strange timing on this one! I was at a local tunner shop yesterday and the owner

By hard wiring it and using a switch you can bypass the ECU and oil pressure safety switch

Vtec is the short for Variable Valve Timing w/ Electronic Lift Control
VVTELC
the easiest way to explain what vtec does is this....
if you are in a car that redlines at 7000rpm but it doesnt have VTEC or any other type of valve lift conrol you will notice that the power will start to drop off at around 5500rpm...(sometimes higher sometimes lower) this happens because the valves dont compensate for the need of more air release and more air being let into the piston chamber for a more powerfull punch each time the piston comes up to the head, at such a high rpm....
If you do have VTEC this is what happens....once again if your in a 7000rpm redlining car.... around 5500rpm is where the power will drop without the vtec, so the vtec set up with your ecu manages this power increase, and then with oil pressure lifts the valves a certain degree of range higher to allow more air and pressure out of the compression area, and more air in at the same time....this allows power to be produced all the way through 7000rpm , rather than cutting out a 5500rpm
You can program your vtec, but if you do, what little bottom end torque you have, will be gone...your gas milage around stop and go driving will suck!!...and you will basically destroy your honda engine....
so take this as advice, and dont **** with your VTEC...the people at honda know what they are doing and they made it specifically to work the best at a certain range on your motor...

You must have been drinking too much to be serious with a question like this. it can't be done, no reason to get all techinical answering it, because you might not understand it..................
