How can i get my hood to clear valve cover?

How can i get my hood to clear valve cover?
Car: 92 Hatch
I have the LS/VTEC swap in a 92 civic hatchback. Im using a Seibon OEM style Carbon Fiber hood. The front corners of the valve cover are hitting the hood. What can i do to stop this?? I already tried the "jdm hood prop" and lifted the hinge over a half an inch, still hits. Im wondering, would it be possible to shave the front of the valve cover? Anyone else have this problem and a way to solve it?
