I'm not sure how detailed you want it but try this:
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/nabuild/nabuild.php for N/A
Or
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/motorbuild/build.php for F/I

http://www.helmsinc.com for the defininetive shop manual. My integra one was like $60
.....they're money
Get the Summit Racing catalog, they have good prices on alot of things, and not so good on some, but if you want some good aftermarket goodies. Got my Pistons and stuff there.
And just tear the front cover off there import catalog and the embarresment should subside. Also theyre american catalog is cool, cause it has alot of universal stuff you can try, like hoses, etc....

DMS RACING why in the world did you paint your block black? someone painted my block i just bought black, and its a pain in the *** to get that paint off
as far as rebuilding a gsr motor, its pretty easy if you have some mechanical knowledge. i rebuilt my friends block. we bored it .4 over and put je 11:1 pistons. dont forget to use OEM bearings for the crank, good thing to do when rebuilding a motor. also use all new gaskets, and get a nice aftermarket head gasket. you never told us if you were going NA or FI? how high you wanna rev? and how much power you want to get out of it? is going to be street driven? give me more details and then i'll give you more answers.

Why not just rent yourself a CNC machine and build yourself a custom block and head... probably be cheaper then buying all the parts at a dealer

Did you even read what you wrote before you posted? Key word Being HUGE Yes there are some who believes that just because Spoon is high priced in the U.S. and that Spoon uses modified Stock parts for lots of their applications.... that they are not worth it. Some will even say Spoon Steering wheel is Momo, Spoon Rims are made by Desmond, or Works... The Lists go on and on. Well, is there a reason why Spoon builds the Majority of s2000 for the Super Taikyu Class?
Like you said Buy what performs... You don't get where Spoon is by not knowing how to use what works. Before you start to condem Spoon you might want to know what their mission is. Street Performance and Longevity... TOTAL TUNE. Not just the engine but the Car (Brakes Suspension the works) Sure there are Manufaturers out there with higher Lift cams, Higher Compression Pistons etc etc... If I can get 200 Wheel HP from a B18c with only 11.5:1 Compression (Pump Gass friendly) then why do I need 12:1 Compression risking bent valves broken rods etc etc... OH then why not spend MORE money get Eagle Rods and all of that? Like you said BUY WHAT PERFORMS... Get what works... I am a BIG fan of Honda and I believe that a company who specializes in HONDA specifically Civic, Integra, and S2000, well, I think they MAY know a thing or two about Hondas... You think???
Don't mean to offend anyone and I am not say that spoon is the BEST brand to go with for everything.... For my purposes... they are top. If I wanted to build a 10 sec All Motor... then I wouldn't go to Spoon. I'll leave it at that... I am close friends with the people at spoon and I know the quality of product that comes from them.

Dude i'm not klownin nobody i am just saying buy what performs well dont just go buy some expensive product and thinking that u will get 200+ on wheel i know for a fact its all about tuning but u dont get it why spend so much money when u can go with other product thats a little cheaper and get a faster ET
2000 Type R motor
Spoon Piston
Spoon Cams
Spoon Cam Gears
Spoon Head Gasket
Spoon Valvetrain
Spoon Throttle Body
Spoon Headers
177 to the wheel
so sad for that person who owns that car

" remember its not always the name brand that brings out the power its the way you setup your motor "

Re: How to build and engine...... (DMS Racing)
HEHE! I don't have one Spoon part on my motor and it makes over 200 at the wheels with Honda off the shelf parts(minus the cams) It's nice to have some of the good stuff, but I would have to agree that what is the most $ doesn't always make power. Juast my .02

Re: How to build and engine...... (IWUNDERY)
I would have to agree. We have 2 cars here and neither use the most expensive parts but I am pretty sure they both make over 200 at the wheels. And they both use stock ecu's and all Honda off the shelf components.
