well your losing power by using the stock muffler, and its not good to run open TB because there is no filter and you can suck some bad stuff in there and ruin your motor.... as for the exhaust you could cut the stock muffler off and run strait pipes but good luck keeping your ears from ringing and the cops off your ***.... if you have the piping already bend just buy a universal muffler and mount it with your pipe.

as previously stated I would not run without a muffler that does not have cat and resonator because of cops. Atleast find a universal one and have it welded to the piping.
As for the intake just pick up a cheap ebay SRI and get a k&n filter. Or you can just run a filter off the TB if you choose to, just becareful, you dont want to have to rebuild that motor you just got running, cause you didnt want an intake.

dont people get alot of junk in their motor or at least their oil by cutting away the valve cover so that the cam gears can b seen....might as well b running without an intake

no usually if people have their VC cut, its for adjustable cams, but that doesnt open up the head. The VC is still sealed, on the DOHC its just a cover that bolts to the timing cover, and protects the belt and cams gears.
