I am in the process of building the motor for my del slow and have swapped most body parts to carbon. I have oem bumper but not sure the best way to attach it to carbon fenders. I've done fiberglass fenders on a civic I used to have and the nut/bolt always came loose and bumper came loose on that mounting point. I don't want this to happen so what's the best way to attach them? There is no holes cut in the fenders I will have to cut them myself I am aware of this.

Lockwashers will keep it from comming loose... Nut,bolt, big washers

But won't lock washers eat into the carbon? Those quick disconnects look interesting how do they work?

I have no idea. I don't run carbon fenders. You asked for an option and that was one of them.

No matter what option you go with you're going to have to drill holes and use some kind of hardware. I guess along with that you'll have to worry about how the hardware might damage the carbon.

Doesn't sound worth it to me, constantly freaking out that your fenders may be getting ruined, all in an effort to look good.

If your fenders were made well then I wouldn't worry too much.

Drill 2 holes on contact surfaces and connect them toghether with screw, big washer and nut.
or like in race cars make a frame with dzus fasteners

Those quick release fasteners that passwordjdm sells are used a lot. I've seen them all the time on carbon fiber setups. I'd try them out. I'm sure you can find a thread about installing them or something.

I wasn't meaning for them to be passwordjdm's fasteners. Just a picture I remember seeing so I thought I'd post it so he could see what others have done.

Not freaking out about it just making sure it won't. I think I'll do something along those lines. Still has a nice touch to it.
