How to access open door switch for unique lighting applications
Acquired a 98 civic CX hatch over summer and now that a little bit of $ is around wanted to have fun adding some special touches. Have an idea to mount LED lights in the car that are turned on and off by the opening and closing of the door, just like the standard dome light. Anyone have ideas how I can tap into the circuitry? I need to keep all wires out of sight.
Thanks...
Thanks...

if you open your drivers door and look in the door jamb about 3/4 of the way up there is a little black button **** thingy that you can push in and when you do the beeping and the dome light turn off. you have to take apart the inner panel behind that switch to get access to the wires.
IMO its sounds like a really lame idea though i wouldn't waste my time or my $ on useless LED lights

It would probably be easiest if you just splice it into the wires at the dome light
