How Are The '96 Civic Hatchbacks?
We went to the autoshop to get a new paintjob, and there was this old civic there for sale. It'd be nice if our family had another car, since there's only 2 cars, and only 3 driviers. The civic I'll drive most of the time, and the best thing is it's a stick so I can learn stick without having to worry about screwing up a really nice car. Anyways the exterior looks great. I think the back was replaced because it got into an accident, but right there's no dents, scratches or anything. The interior isn't the best, I mean there's no power locks or doors or anything, but hey it's a '96 civic. It only has 38,000 miles on it. The guy is going to sell it to us for $3450 including registration, yada yada, and he's going to put 4 new tires in for us. Then later on, we can go buy a cd player and have him install it in for pretty cheap since we kinda know the guy. Anyways is that a good deal?

I think thats a great deal, if its not a salvage title. but if its clear go for it for sure. I love the way the 6th gen civics look, I almost wish I had one instead of my 5th gen.

I think what happened to the car was someone crashed it, and they sold it to the autoshop, and they fixed it up. Now no one has boughten it yet. And we've been to that autoshop a few times either for our cars or friends, and they've done a good job. The owner is Chinese just like us, and so that helps a little . Anyways yeah, the guy said that there's no problems with it. He said it's just a little dirty and the tires are worn out, but they'll take care of it. He took me for a quick drive, and it seemed like a fun little car to drive. I just went to go see it again, it doesn't look all that bad. Nice car for a high school kid.
