houston engine swap ?
I live in pearland which is right outside houston. i just went up to cornerstone automotive to talk to the guy about changing the engine and he said if i got the parts it would be $1800 labor and then i said also it has transmission and ECU and engine harness and he said "oww thats expensive". i was thinking this is absolutely ridiculous there is no way that it could possibly $1800 for just putting the engine in and not the transmission ,ECU ,or wire harness. Am i wrong in thinking this is too much ? do any of you know of places in or around houston that do engine swaps with an engine from say hmotorsonline.com for a decent price (the complete changeover which includes the transmission) ? if so thanks for your responses.

bump...way toooooo much...I did mine for free
When it comes down to it bro, if you try it yourself (with someone with experience next to you the WHOLE time) youre going to realize that if you have all the right parts, putting an integra motor in a civic is just like putting a civic motor in a civic

I can do it for you. The last swap I did, I charged the guy 300 bucks. PM me if you are interested. I'm in northwest Houston. It can be done in a day if I start that morning.

Look around man!!! When I was getting some **** painted, I was getting like $1200 quotes everywhere. Anyhow, I waited, and a few weeks later I ended up getting the number of this guy who had this little shop and did custom paint work... He quoted me $150!!! I was so impressed when I picked up my painted skirts, lip and such, I gave him $250.

So how did the install go? Reason why I'm asking is because I was thinking of having them do my Motor Swap for me also. It's a bit hard trying to find a good place in Houston to do a Swap for you.
