Re: hot stick... (azndelseoul3)
the actual manual shift **** in your car gets hot? If thats the case I highly doubt that the trans gets hot enough to heat the linkage all the way down to the shifter. Sounds like the exhaust is heating it up.

Not funny.
i'll agreed that its prolly the exhaust if anything. nothing to worry about yet.

heres another thread discussing hot shifters. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=49015
although its more temorary solution oriented.
I know I read another thead about 2 weeks ago talking about the same problem. Everyone seems to think its the exhaust that causes it when your driving. Id have to agree.
(Sorry I can't find that second thread)

Re: (CarsCarsCars)
Think about it..
You have a hot *** exhaust underneath the car thats cooling down so its radiating heat around the bottom of the car from the EXHAUST..
So yes it makes total sense that your shifter gets hot after you run the car and let it cool for awhile.. BUT I bet you in the morning after it sits all night it wont be
and why does it not when your driving the car.. Well you have air thats blowing under the car thats cooling the exhaust down

Ok dick. I think we all know that the shifter is right next to the damn exhaust piping. It doesn't take a rocket scienctist to figure that one out. Stop acting like you got a corn up your *** and loosen up a bit.
