Default horribly bad idle, recent ls/vtec install

My motor seems to be searching for idle, after a recent ls/vtec install. runs very high, ~3k-5k. I've had the computer chipped for the motor, it was throwing a code 14 which I just fixed by taking off the IAC and cleaning it out. Now it's not throwing any codes and the searching idle is more severe than when the IAC was dirty. was only ~1.3k-2k before with the dirty IAC. i'm using the TPS/TB off of the LS motor in perfect working condition. i may possibly have ail in my coolant, since my lower rad hose doesn't seem to fill up with water when the coolant system is pressurized. Any ideas? im a little scared, as it seems my coolant is getting a slight milky-ness too it

my mom loves to give me **** about fixing things that aren't broken

Check and see if you have a huge vacuum leak.

Did you check the FITV?

milky coolant would indicate oil getting into it , i hate to tell you that. if its revving that high at idle its probably vacuum leak or tuning issues. you could perhaps , open ecu , disconnect J1 jumper , try idling the engine with stock fuel map. should be ok for idle , good enough eliminate your eeprom as the issue. an idea anyways.

5k idle u have a vaccum leak end of question or a fucked up throttle body or wrong gaskets

yea before i got the chip burned i was just starting it with a LS map, just for the sake of checking for leaks and stuff, and it had that idle problem then too. and i tried using the LS TB and the GSR TB and both have the problem.

an interesting note- from the TB on the filter side, there is a good amount of suction like normal (my palm can get sucked in), but from the brake booster port it feels like there is next to no vacuum at all. i think i'll try replacing the TB gasket, cuz i know the old LS one is fairly fresh, and the GSR one that's on there now is somewhat beaten i would be driving it with this shitty idle, but the brakes do not work, which led me to check the brake booster.

your brakes don't work did u put the check valve in backwards and take some carb cleaner and spray it around the intake manifold to check for a leak

you should have one big vacuum line going from back of intake mani to brake booster. that hooked up?

of course, lol. that was the port i tested when i noticed the brakes weren't working. a lot less vacuum pressure (or, i guess lack there of) than at the throttlebody on the filter side of it
