Horrible sounding noise coming from front end! please help!
I have a 92 vx eg hatch and lately I have been noticing a very annoying noise from my front end. It sounds like its coming from the front left area mostly.
The noise sounds like a loud creaking when turning and braking.
When I'm coming up to a stop I'll hear the creaking followed by a clunking or popping noise apon stopping.
I can only hear If i turn or brake while moving.
I have no power steering.
All four struts are new. I thought it was my axles... I checked them and they both were busted so i replaced them both...so I know its not my axles
I'm just lost on what it could be... i cant see it being my brakes because it happens while turning and braking!!!
If anyone has any ideas on what it could be, please help me out!!!
Thanks!

Could be any of the bushings in your lower control arms or the wheel bearing on that side. I've seen both go bad to the point that cars were virtually unable to be driven. Get under there and really wiggle the hub/inspect the bushings and joints in your suspension to make sure everything's copacetic.

My first guess would be the axle is busted but since that didnt fix the problem. Here are some other suggestions.
Might be your wheel Bearings. Take ur wheel off and grab the hub wiggle it back and forth/ Side to side. See if it has loose play in it. If so that could be ur problem.
I would also check the Upper and lower ball joints. Could very well be them
