Horrible alternator whine!!!!!!! Help
I got my swap done but I have a horrible alternator whine now. It was justing coming from my engine bay but is now coming through the speakers in my car from where i hooked an amp up. I thought about making one of those "earthing kits" will that eliminate this or can I just run an extra ground under the hood somewhere... Any help greatly appreciated

My friend had the same problem with his impreza. We ended having to re-route some of his wires because I guess they were too close to something that gave off interference. Im not a stereo installer or anything but id guess that would be the case for you too.

but even before the stereo it did it... except it only came from the engine bay then... but still was really loud and really annoying

YEAH, relocate the Ground Wire. Or, buy a ground loop isolator from radio shack or wal mart and install it on the ground wire..
