Horn Upgrade
I was looking around http://www.harborfreight.com and they have 130 decibel dual air horn setups for like....14.99.
The last couple days I've gotten into several near accidents as people have decided they don't need to use their blinkers to signal their intent to merge with my car.
Since I've been on the horn so much recently, I've been thinking that the little wussy meep-meep that our Civics comes with stock is...rather pathetic. Definitely not enough to really get people's attention.
I'll probably hook it up to an arcade style button switch and mount that somewhere, because I still want the option of a little meep meep when I feel the need. I don't always need to blast people with 130dB.
However, my preference would be to wire it to the stock horn buttons in some way, like left button meep meep, right button WWWOOONNNKKK!!! since in an emergency situation I'll hit the horn with my right hand.
So, does anyone know how to get to the wiring in a steering wheel? And, do the wires for those two switches join before the swivelly part of the steering or after? And actually, how exactly do steering wheels work in regard to the wires from the cruise control and such? i.e. without them getting all twisted?
