Icon2 Horn doesn't work after I removed the srs airbag wiring. Why???

I do not have a horn anymore. I removed the passenger and drivers side airbags and the wiring and brainbox for the srs abs airbag unit. I checked the wiring with a multimeter and I got nothing checked fuses and nothing. what could this be? Do I have to have the abs wiring in for my horn to work? I cant figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On air bag equipped cars, the horn connection goes through the cable reel. If you removed the wiring you disconnected to horn

ok on that thread he did something with a clear plug that has 6 pins in it. in my hatchback I have 7 pins in the clear plug on the sterring colum
the only wires that do anything with a multimeter are a green/black wire
blue/yellow wire and a blue wire all other wires do nothing
those three wires are showing 2.40 volts or something like that. does anyone know which one od those wires is the horn wire?

There should still be the female end of the yellow SRS plug at the bottom of the steering column. You have to put a wire into the pin on the far left and whenever the wire is grounded, the horn beeps. So you should have a short hub that allows the steering wheel to have a horn. So when you push the horn button, the back of the short hub becomes grounded. Therefore, you have to somehow get the wire from pin 1 to always be making contact with the back of the short hub.

I don't have a horn either right now, because the pen clip keep sliding off the short hub and sometimes hitting the spline to cause uncalled for honking of the horn. I am still looking for a piece of metal to screw down so it permanently contacts the short hub without moving. Kind of like this

is this pic above out of a eg? civic or a integra I right now have a stock steering wheel and I took the whole wiring out the srs abs wiring out completly. And then I put it back in and nothing I put the brain box back in as well nothing! so I had to wire the horn to my battery to see if the horn works and it does. So here is my question on my steering wheel how to I get power from my horn button to set the horn off with the srs abs wiring out of the car?

Oh, okay. If you took everything out completely you need to put back the yellow plug that goes on the top of the fuse panel. That pic is out of an EK i think.

This is if you have an EG.

ok I got it I just need a answer should I solder this harness or no I got it figured out now this plug that goes to the top of the fusebox is the plug that sounds the horn off. and the other plug connects to the cable reel. note these are the only 2 plugs connected at the time and the horn works just fine. I dont really want to install the whole harness back in unless I have to. does anyone know if I can solder this plug to the plug that goes to the cable reel in the steering wheel and it would still work?

I got the picture here

Ok I got it now I did some modification to the SRS airbag harness. Maybe this should be a write up for 92-95 civics, not sure but this is what i did and it works everytime.

The plug to the fusebox has 6 pins in it. The 3 you cut are labeled on the grey wires
on the top where there is 4 wires you cut only three of those wires and here are the numbers on the grey wiring you cut only! starting from left to right.
03,13, and 21

I couldn't depin them for sh*t so I cut, marked, and zip tied them out of the way so I can solder if I want airbags again. no biggie

Next the plug that goes to the cable reel there should be 5 grey wires in that connector
you are going to cut only 2 of those wires. Only 2 out of the 5 grey wires.
The ones you cut are to the far left here are the numbers.
01 its on the end of the connector. Next to that wire is a empty slot. Next to that slot, is wire 02 cut that wire and leave the rest in place.

There should be 3 wires total going from the srs plug from the steering wheel to the top of the fusebox. And that should be it and you have a horn for your oem steering wheel.

*Note* Aftermarket steering wheel with quick release or whatever I am pretty sure your going to have to do some modification for the horn button to go off but it shouldnt be that hard. Pic is attached of the harness I had.

Here is a pin out of the wires you should cut for future reference to anyone that wants to do this or take out the harness for a aftermarket steering wheel with a horn.

I tried to figure this out yesterday, but I have no Srs harness at all. Have one plug that's yellow but it gets no power at all. I hate horns.
