picked up a 99 si today. previous owner decided to put those cheap autozone hoodpins in and it seems to me missing the entire hood latch assembly. nothing is there, not even a handle. where do i start? can i purchase an entire assembly somewhere? i think hood pins look trashy. PLEASE HELP!

Try a salvage yard around you for the latch assembly. There are 3 10mm bolts you need to take out to remove the latch. Also, the hood latch release cable breaks often, so buy a new one from the dealership. Mine was around $30. Part number for the cable is 74130-S01-A01.
