Hood Cable Replacement
On my 98 civic ex my hood cable snapped. Could someone tell me how I would replace that. A diagram or something. The Honda dealer said I would have to leave it there over night and I can't. Thanks in advance. And about how long would it take to replace?

Remove the side skirt, the fender, the bumper, dead pedal, kick panel, and all the clips connected to the cable...then you can pull it out.
Very easy to do, just a pain in the ***. I think it took me about an hour doing it lazily and in 30* weather

Re: (Red98EX)
You dont have to take all of that out. I relocated my cable inside the engine bay and all I did was pull the front bumer off and fender lining down and turn the wheel. It really wasnt that hard to tell you the truth but good luck!
*not sure how much different the 96-98 are from the 99-00*
