Default Hood Alignment

I've been looking at buying a civic and was wondering if the hood should sit like this.

If not how would one go about fixing it?

It loosk to me liek the whole thing is a bit crooked but its not off by the same amount from what i can see... see of you can loosen the hindge bolts for the hood and move it over a bit.... but it looks like something might be bent

btw, and extra set of hand will probably be needed for this

$5 says, "welcome to certifit body parts."

it could be something some easy to fix, it could be something difficult. bent core support, shitty body parts, parts put on wrong, the list can keep on going.

The first pic makes it look like the bumper/grille are falling forward off the car. I don't even know how the parts could be mounted to look like they if they're OE parts and no damage to the car.

Let me guess, front end conversion and it's cheaper because it's a '96-'98? I would not sacrifice having a nice car just to have the '99-'00 front end.

i see the whole front has been replaced meaning it was just put on crooked. things like that are EASY to fix so no worries. also try moving the rubber nipple looking thing inside the bay at the bottom where the hood latch is. adjust it

Those headlights are awfully clean for being 13 years old so I'm assuming all the front end parts are aftermarket. best way to fix is not buy aftermarket. it will be less of a issue to source clean, used parts off other cars then try and make those **** "sorta fit" parts fit.

Without being able to remove the front bumper I wouldn't buy it unless it were just meant to be a daily and/or if I was getting a good deal on it (depends on how good of a deal too).

Sometimes I think "minor accident" to some means "not totaled". Having all the front panels replaced and possible replacement or damage of the core support isn't exactly minor to me.

I can almost guarantee you that the core support has been replaced, there is no impact beam, and the body panels are not OEM. Stay away from it.
