Default hondata help

Just installed everything at once into my Civic SI 2000.. JRSC, Hondata, RC440s, Comptech Intake, oil cooler. Plus adjusted the valves (.007-.008), new timing belt, waterpump, wires, distrib... The cam's and crank were aligned at TDC.

Anywise I've run into a couple problems:

1) My Hondata datalogger never connects.. just says "connecting". I've tried this with several of the serial Com port selections. Also I'm noticing a constant red LED light from the Hondata unit. Should this be green? I'm not getting any engine codes. I've got the EPROM in and turned correctly and the circuit mods to the OBD1 were done for me on a Hondata modded unit. Anyone know what else to try?

2) The second problem I've run into is at around 3300 RPM the car sputters. It seems to run fine up to 3300 with good f/a ratio. After 3300 the f/a gets into the 15's. The base map I'm using is supposed to have come from a Civic SI with similiar setup. what else I can start checking? I've done all the Hondata recommened mods... RC440s, temp sensor, map relocator, removed JR fuel relay, etc... in addition to all JRSC installation steps and recommended mods. Anyone have a suggestion of where to start?
