Default hondata?

alright here is my question my friend wants hondata here is what is done to his car.
the guy at hondata said that a auto is to hard to choose
fully built tranny with transbreak
11to1 comp pistons
crower rods
balanced crank
cams? can't remebmer
pp head
and he is spraying 100 shot
and the usual header and intake and test pipe.
he needs to get some tuning done.
so does anyone have hondata on an auto?
oh yeah this is an h23 non vtec too
i really don't understand why it would be hard to tune?
thanks
jesse

he's gonna go to honda to get the shiftpoints raised also.

If you really want the friend to go faster, just do as stated earlier, go manual.

alright i always answer peoples question i don't put up stupid posts as above.

here is the question
Running hondata on an auto should be the same as on a manuel? or not? the hondata dealer said that auto's were to hard to tune. I was just wondering why?

I'm going to guess that they are harder due to the auto-shifting, instead of the standard manual interface. Or possibly due to a different format in the ECU for handling auto shifting and fuel maps.... not really sure. I think the idea of manual is his best bet though, why bother with hondata now to tune when the car will still be slowed down by the auto tranny. Upgrade to manual and feel/see the difference, then deal with high-end tuning of the engine components.

alright now we have a discusion.

alright lets see the ecu doens't do anythng wiht the shifting. so that is no reason why it would be harder to tune. he is going to need hondata whether or not it's a manual or an auto. He is not doing the conversion he is sticking with the auto. I know a manual would be faster. You don't have to tell me that over and over. i am not that retarded. I was just trying to get a simple answer. thanks

I read on there website http://www.hondata.com that some of the hondata stuff doesnt work with some automatics...check out website you will see what I'm saying. I'm also looking at getting one for my car (they have a mobile dyno unit to come to my house ) anyways i would get more info from hondata...but i hear that their stuff kicks butt so if you could I would go for it...stay auto that kicks butt that you are doing something different.
