hondaautomotiveparts.com sent me the wrong part
Hi i ordered a del sol ac bracket from a 96 del sol vtec wanting the p54 bracket and they sent me a p30 bracket part #32930-p30-000.
Should i have ordered it from a 93-95 instead was this my mistake or thiers? i dont want to send it back and have a 20% restocking fee. and i dont need this bracket i need the p54 bracket. on the special instructions i also listed i need the p54 ac bracket from a del sol vtec.
edit
called them up and told them the part number i wanted and they are sending me the right one now, i'm sending the one i didnt want back. good service

Exactly. The only thing you may have to pay for is the cost to ship it back.
Other than that, they may work good business and actually ship you the part overnight and give you a RMA to ship the other bracket back to them on their dollar.

Re: (Spade)
ok i just called them. i told them my situation and i got the wrong part which is the p30 bracket. He asked if i ordered it from the del sol and i said yes i did and i wanted the p54 not the p30.
He said you want the 95 bracket and i said yeah i want the p54 bracket and he said the 96 is different so he looked it up and said he has one in stock and asked if i want it shipped out and i said yes. He told me to send this one back, so i guess i just have to pay the shipping back and thats all.
So when ordering a del sol vtec ac bracket make sure to order from a 94 -95 del sol vtec.

If they sent you the wrong part the only thing you should have to pay is shipping, if that. If you ordered the wrong part then you should have to pay a restocking fee.

Re: hondaautomotiveparts.com sent me the wrong part (KOALA YUMMIES)
i dont see the different between P30 and P54..... both were delsols that had b16 motors in them and both had civic a/c compressor i believe.. unless you are telling us that 96-97 delsol had b16 with a different compressor than th civic one? did you even try to use the P30 and see if it would work?
i mean i have a delsol b16 obd1 ecu that says P30 on it so i am assuming that P30 means delsol b16 model

I called Honda, because I was thinking the exact same thing, P30 is the code for most parts on the B16A3, but apparently the number he gave is right. The parts person said they are probably the same part, but they changed the numbers for warranty reasons.

The P30 bracket wont let you bolt up a dseries ac compressor. just by looking at it you can tell the holes to mount the ac compressor on the P30 bracket wont fit. i even tried cause i had the ac compressor out and lined it up. The P54 is for a dohc motor bracket that can fit a dseries ac compressor. and yes they have a different ac compressor i have botch ac compressors.

Yes, and the 96-97 VTEC sol has a B16A2, same as the 99-00 si. So by ordering from a 96 del sol, you got exactly what you ordered. Only 94-95 VTEC del sols = B16A3.

Re: (CTL)
They did the same exact thing to me. I ordered all of my parts for my swap 6 months in advance before I got my motor.
I never checked the stamp until I realized the AC compressor did not bolt up. I haven't even tried to call them because it is my fault for not looking at the part when I got it. So now I have a $100+ p30 AC bracket/paperweight.
