I have a 94 Civic EX with its stock D16Z6. I need a new Vehicle Speed Sensor cause mine recently went out. What other Hondas can I pull this from? Does it matter what motor it comes off of? Which ones would fit my car?
I have access to a 90 Accord, could I use the VSS from that in my car?

I know the newer hydro B series will work. Not too sure about the 90 accord though. If you want one from a D series let me know. I have one. PM

The sensor itself, you can probably use just about any, but you have to use the gear for/from your VSS.

no, they're not all interchangeable. i noticed that my friend's b18c1 one is totally different from my y8 one. they're different even between b series; a b18a1 wouldn't work on a b18c1.

I switched one from my B18C1 and the stock one from my CX- the top sensor part is common but the lower part with the speedo gear that goes into the tranny is different.

I used the sensor from my D15B7 for my B18C swap. I had to swap the shaft and gear from the B18 into the D15's sensor, but that was no problem and really easy. I hope that made sense. Good Luck!
