honda tech: i need your help reallly bad!!!!

Default honda tech: i need your help reallly bad!!!!

my friend has a 93 civic with a ls swap in it he brought it over today and wanted to change his valve cover to one he painted... we took the old one off and i noticed that the valves were reallly loose so i adjusted them.. its not my first time doing a valve job i have done it plenty of times and i doubble checked my self.... alright so after that is all said and done we put the new valve cover on and go to start the car

it cranks you can smell the gas but its not getting spark, we changed cap rotor plugs wires, still nothing... i had a nother dizzy in my garage which i know was good tried that nothing.. . checked main relay took mine out of my car and tried it in his still nothing.... i took my ecu out of my car and put it in his nothing... does any one know what it could be its driving me crazy.. and yes the firing order is right too and the dizzy isnt 180 out its correct

if it ran before you did the valve adjustment, triple check your job.
sounds too odd to be a coincidence that something went bad at the same time.

the valves were loose? do you mean the rockers or valves?

Did you adjust the valves while the engine was still warm?

Jesus christ stop throwing parts at it....

first, do you have spart?
second, do you have fuel?
third, I'll assume you have air?
fourth, how is your timing?

Answer all of those before you replace any more ****.

you check the timing belt?
if it jumped, slipped off or even snapped for some odd reason, it wouldnt start.

are all the wires in the correct order? did u lose the coil out of the cap? check that out.

Not to be a dick, but he answered the first 2 in his original post. He has no spark and smells gas when cranking it.

Otherwise, carry on.

Ok......Did you remember to connect the ground that runs to the valve cover?

Yep, definitely check that.

That's not a valve job, that's adjusting the valve lash. So what exactly did you adjust them to (spec-wise)?
