Honda Rims?
The car I recentley purchased a Civic and it has some honda rims (I can tell with the "H" right on them LoL) and I was just wondering how much these rims go for? The Lady that sold me the car said that she had been getting tons of calls from "mongs" so she says (lol) that they wanted the rims BAD and stuff but she didnt tell me how much they were asking for them. So I thought i'd ask you guys if you knew. And if any of you guys would like to buy them (with tires) I would accept any reasonable offer. Thanks!

Re: Honda Rims? (Civic4less)
Can't see the pic. I need to put up my honda rims too. I've never seen them before. I tried looking them up when I worked at the dealership, but I couldn't find out anything.

well it depends. I can't tell by the pic what size they are, but they are either HX or VX rims. Both were models of civics that were made to get uber good gasmillage, and to do so, made alot of weight reducitions from the factory, including really light wheels. The stock VX (eg) wheels were 13inches and only weighed in a 9lbs. The HX, (ek) got 14's, and they weighed in at around 11lbs. The HX rims go for a little more, because more cars can kinda use them. The do not allow the BEST clearance on bigger brakes, so people with brakes like Integra's or SI's, have to Shave down there calipers a little bit. VX, there isn't a chance, but on civics with stock brakes, they are great. Increases your gearing/final drive alot which = faster acceleration.
VX goes for around 100-200 depending on condition and tires, the HX, around 3-350 depending on condition and tires.

(sorry for the pic not working... freewebz is pretty gay sometimes but sometimes it does work but the pic is pretty much the rim the only thing not showing is the H in the center of them) But nonetheless Thanks for the info everyone! Greatley appreciated! The tires are Parelli's and they're in pretty good condition. But thanx, I just wanted to know if the owner before me had bought them and maybe were costom but I guess not? I also wanted to know if the HX is a pretty good model for a Civic?

Those might be VX rims too. VX and HX rims are the exact same, just the VX are one inch smaller

Just sold my set for $180 with 75% all season tires. I've seen them sell for as high as $350 with an almost brand new set of azenis on them. The going rateout here for a set with all seasons is $200 to $240 for a super clean set with almost new tires. My set I sold cuz they wouldn't fit over my new brakes. $180, the tires were mismatched but the wheels were immaculate.
