Default Honda oxygen sensor extension wire help

I just bought headers from DC sports but my oxygen sensor won't reach the bung that is near the cat. I looked all over the net and was not able to find an extension cable. I heard making your own will eventually end up bad so does anyone know of a place where i may get one?

Go to a muffler shop and have them weld the bung closer or if you really want to extend it, get same gauge wire and solder them longer. If you crimp them it wont hold has to be soldered on.

i would really go with the muffler shop idea over the soldering one.

buy another O2 sensor. I did not have this problem because I bought another sensor that had a longer wire. Did you try to get the wire behind the intake manifold and below?

Come to think of it, this is a DC header right? You should not be having this problem in the first place because DC Sports is strictly Hondas and they should have sholved this problem.

Since you don't have the extension, I assume you bought the DC header used. Since brand new ones come with the extension. Some shops might sell you a set. If not, then splice in 4 wires and cover them with cable wrap. But as far as online shops that sell the extension... have you tried calling DC?

I've spliced into the o2 sensor wires when they got melted and just used but connectors covered w/ electrical tape. ghetto, but its been working well for over a year now.

Either buy the o2 extension from dc sports or buy the end connectors from the honda dealer, get some wire from radio shack, and some heat shrink tubing and make your own extension.

many soultuions for this problem

extend your own wires on the harness
extend you wires on the sensor
buy an extension harness (i know airmass headers come with it or sell it optionaly)
put your stock manifold back on (this might suck but if you cant extend the wires then this is your last option

Do not cut and splice 02 sensor wires.. it will cause bad resistance which will cause a stumbling idle !
This is usually the cause for people's "rough idles".

Just buy an extension harness.
