Honda Oil + Filter, VS ?

Ok, a litte while back I had my car in for the ole 75k miles tech service bulletin. Other than every think else that was done for free, they changed the oil. Full OEM goodness.
I never really thought about the differences between oil and oil filters. Ok, I know the differences between the oils but the filters never really crossed my mind much.

So normally my oil gets black around 1.5k - 2k and I dont think much of it. The entire time I had the honda oil it never turned fully black. It actually stayed much cleaner that I am used to. I always hear about people not likeing fram, but the sandpaperish grip was always a selling point for me... I guess they do that for a reason other than convienence ^_^ So what it coming down to is:

-------------- main point -----------------

Are honda's OEM oil filters (or wix or your personal fav brand cuz i searched) really keep the oil cleaner? or is its all in my mind.
--------------------------------------------

These last 2 oil changes I useds mobile one with fram filters. Black as usual. Next oil change (as soon as the pcv valve gets in) I'll use mobile one with an OEM honda filter to see if it makes a difference.

it doesnt matter. you dont drive your car hard enough for it to matter. search and there are some great threads on this very subject. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

But you never know what the future will hold... and i'd like to know now before something dumb happens then.

once again: be careful, oil experts carrying flame throwers, riding big white horses, standing on pedestals.

you want to hear my proof. i commute and dog the hell out of my ls swapped hatch close to 700miles a day. i change my oil roughly every 4-5k i use the cheapest oil and filter i can buy. my motor has over 200,000 miles never been rebuilt and runs perfectly. so waste your money if you want. its all pretty much the same. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Sir I fail to believe that you commute 700 miles a day. that would be inhumane and physically impossible because u would be endlessly driving. its like physically impossible if you were going 60 the whole way it would take you 11 hours of non stop driving each day.
